The Lady Vanishes takes inspiration from 1930s mystery novels, with references from the 'Queen of Crime' herself Agatha Christie alongside moody and resonant Daphne Du Maurier themes. Vibrant and fresh colours are taken from the 'English Riviera' to enhance the Christie symbolism in the pieces such as imagery associated with Poirot's distinctive style like the pocket watch, small round glasses and accusing finger, alongside the crimes that he solves sits the poison bottle and the gun with the spiked wine. Always watching over any suspicious behaviour is the Art Deco Eye, a continuing theme throughout the prints.
The darker elements of the prints are contrasted by the soft elegant shapes. Using late 1920s and early 1930s vintage clothing as a base for this season’s silhouette the pieces range from the classic bias Day Dress worn exploring quiet English Villages, a Safari Suit perfect for an investigation at a local Country House, to short sets and nautical pieces, ideal for sunbathing on Burgh Island…at your peril.
Where to start with how amazing this whole brand is?! Olivia’s clothes are beautiful and the duke blouse is easily my favourite item of clothing ever! Each piece is made to such a high quality and you can tell how much time and effort has gone into the design and manufacturing to create beautiful clothes. I initially had an issue with sizing (my error) and Olivia was so quick to respond and help me. An amazing ethical brand, I can’t wait to add more pieces to my wardrobe in the future.

A wonderful young vintage womenswear designer! I bought two items by Olivia Annabelle and I must say they’re the most unique pieces in my wardrobe and already both are one of my favourites! They’re made with such love to detail. So if you’re searching for some pieces that stand out and you want to support an independent young designer like Olivia, I can 100% recommend you check out her collections!

Olivia Annabelle's designs are unsurpassed. The way they are so imbued with time and place is a rare and special thing and is my favourite thing about her work. The designs have both a true feel of the past and place, yet they are also newly made in considered tailoring and fabrics, just for you and to suit today too. The pieces are not only divine in concept, but are so comfortable and beautifully designed to wear and fit nicely
